Trip Focus
This is an 11-day trip with 7 full days of instruction and the potential for ½ day on our arrival in Norefjell at the start of the trip.
We’ll start by working through a series of drills that help improve and raise awareness of the 4 skills of modern, efficient skiing.
That is:
-
The basic position which determines fore and aft balance
-
Lateral balance and foot-to-foot weight transfer
-
Active and passive rotary skills
-
Edging skills and pressure control.
You will get plenty of mileage with these drills, starting off in easy terrain and then working into progressively harder terrain. Expect to receive a lot of personal feedback and we will be shooting plenty of video which we will then be analyzing each evening to highlight positive change and find areas for further improvement.
This truly is the one and only program you’ll need to break through any barriers, bad habits, or fears and take your skiing to the next level.
Why Ski Norway?
Norway’s snowpack is cold, dry, and super consistent thanks to its northern latitude and coastal storms. Norefjell serves up perfectly groomed runs and steep off-piste skiing with incredible snow quality, while Myrkdalen is famous for its deep sidecountry powder and some of the best snow conditions in Scandinavia.
Let’s Get Out And See Norway Together
While the main focus of the trip is working on your ski skills in the mountains, we’ve also built in some extra time to enjoy some of Norway’s best.
We’ll get a chance to take a cruise on an electric boat through Aurlandsfjord, one of the region's most iconic fjords. Then get your cameras ready because we’ll be hitching a ride on the Flam Railway which is a UNESCO-listed route that winds through Norway’s alpine terrain.
We’ll wrap up the trip with a day in Bergen. This historic coastal city is famous for its colorful waterfront and the Bryggen district and it’s a great way to experience a different side of Norway before heading home. We can’t wait to experience this beautiful country with you!
Meet Your Instructor

Matt has been fully-certified by the PSIA (Level 3, PSIA-RM) since 2006 and has been an instructor trainer at several resorts (Mt. Hotham, Telluride, Squaw Valley, Snobahn, Granby Ranch).
