Eric grew up in Oregon and has been connected with the snow since he began skiing at the age of two, and snowboarding at 12.  After high school Eric moved to Colorado to “go to college” but ended up spending most of his time exploring the front range and developing an interest in backcountry travel.  To extend the winter, he began to travel to Chile for the austral winters where he landed in Chillán acquiring work as a snowmobile and CAT ski guide as well as a youth free ride coach.
