2025 Corralco (Chile) Program
We will be heading down to Chile on the 19th of August for an 11-day program with plenty of skiing, snowboarding, cultural activities and all-round adventure. Most of the time will be spent at the Corralco ski area; an authentic, a snow-sure ski area in the south of the country on the side of the Lonquimay Volcano, but we’ll have the opportunity to climb several picturesque volcanoes in the area and there will also have a fun cultural day off the mountain. 8 ski and ride days have been included in this program and we’ll have an experienced local guide also working with the group.
Corralco is situated in the beautiful Malalcahuello National Reserve and is surrounded by several volcanic peaks. The area is famous for its Araucanía trees and is surrounded by multiple other volcanoes, so the views are stunning on a clear day. The area receives up to 9m of snow annually and the mountain is noticeably quiet and crowds are rare. There are a nice variety of groomed green, blue and black runs and there is a ton of amazing off-piste and sidecountry. For those wanting to tour, you can climb to the top of the Lonquimay volcano and tour up other volcanoes, in the area. You will likely see several international ski team’s training on the mountain in August and September. They come to Corralco for the reliable snow and nice, open runs.
We will be staying near the town of Malalcahuello, about a 15-minute drive from the ski area. Our accommodation is on the main access road to the ski area but set back in a quieter area next to the Cautin river. Meals will be hosted at the restaurant at the Endemiko property and there is a bar for après ski and parties. The trip ends on the 29th of August but you can easily add extra time in Santiago, at the end of the trip if you want to do more sightseeing there.
