Not only are they our sponsors – we know and love their gear!
You can be sure that you will not go wrong with any of the products listed on this page.
We recommend Migrate Skis as our skis of choice. These skis are all handmade in Denver, CO by expert craftsman Brendan Lawrence. The skis are designed to work in the deep powder of the Indian Himalayas and their carbon construction make them some of the lightest freeride skis on the market. Migrate back their product with an industry leading 3 year warranty.
We recommend the Pivvit (154/119/142) or if you want to go really big, try the ski that The Adventure Project is co-designing, the Trajan which will be 125mm underfoot. This ski will be an absolute beast in Gulmarg!
We are proud to work with Flylow as our official uniform supplier. Flylow were born and bred in Colorado and have a great range of freeride inspired outerwear.
We will be using their top of the line Lab Coat 2.0 Jacket and Compound 2.0 Pants which feature a Polartec NeoShell layer membrane with a supreme level of waterproofing and breathability. Neoshell is pretty much the best you can get. We layer with a Rudolph light weight puffy jacket.
The best transceiver is the one you know how to use and can trust.
We go with the Mammut PULSE Barryvox. It is a 3 antenna, digital/analogue beacon. We like it because it has a long range (50 metres +), it’s fast and very accurate. It has a great flagging system for multiple burials and is easy to use for such an advanced beacon. It can detect the heart beat of another user who also has a PULSE beacon. We also use the Mammut RAS compatible avalanche airbag systems.
Gecko Skins are a new company from Austria and they produce a revolutionary new “glueless” mohair skin. They don’t use a traditional skin glue that is easily contiminated. Instead, they use a silicone-based glue that is easy to clean, makes the skins easy put on and take off, yet they adhere very well.
The skins are very light weight and fold into a small package. You have to be careful about staying away from rocks and other sharp objects as the skins are quite thin, but other than that, they rock!
Whether you are a tour operator, tourist board, accommodation provider or independent business based in the mountains, we can work with you to create an integrated representation package to suit your needs. CK Ski will act as an extension of your brand to help you reach a new or existing market base in Asia.
CK Ski services include market research and analysis, PR & press, advertising and media, partnerships, event management, representation at trade and consumer events, content, copywriting and campaign management.
Not to much to say here – who doesn’t know Smith! One of the best eye-wear and helmet gear companies in the world. And we like the best.
We recommend the Smith Vantage Helmet, Turbo Fan Goggles and Touchstone Sunglasses.
The Rescue Bubble is a lightweight, portable rescue sled, made in Canada.
All our guides carry one, it saves a lot of uncomfortable time for the injured person, we can roll the sled out and package the injured person in it easily and quickly. Then we can pull that person carefully to the closest medical facility. It can be very hard to transport an injured person out of the backcountry safely. We believe every group in the backcountry should carry one of these.
Founder Dustin Goss created a company on a dream of a life in the mountains.
Over ten years later, the POW team continues this dream by setting standards of excellence in product design, respecting the world around them, and deep rooted values in the snow sports industry. Their gloves are designed to withstand Pacific NW conditions, so you know they are going to work pretty much everywhere.
Douchebags are a new company from Norway, founded by freeski legend (and now racer!), Jon Olsson. DB’s have finally re-designed the ski/board bag into something that is lighter, adjustable in length whilst still very durable.
With baggage allowances dropping all the time, it was about time someone looked at making ski/board bags lighter. You can also roll the bag up for easy storage. They are simply the best ski/board bags on the market right now!
Based in Vail, Colorado, Bambool Thermics is a new company dedicated to manufacturing and distributing high-quality base layers and socks for snowsport enthusiasts. Our products are made using a unique bamboo/merino wool blend that is soft, durable, insulating, anti-bacterial, anti-static, and all-natural.
Bambool Thermics’ upper body base layers are half-zip long sleeved pullovers that are comfortably form fitting with long sleeves and thumbholes. Bambool Thermics’ bottoms will be cut to fit like leggings, allowing for the greatest range of movement and to fit comfortably under other layers. The pants are 3/4 length so as to rest comfortably above ski and snowboard boots without causing bunching. Our socks are designed to include shin cushioning, an articulated ankle, a flat toe-seam, and a moisture-wicking design on the top of the foot to increase ventilation.
All of our products are made using flat-lock seams and heat transfer labels in order to reduce chafing and irritation.
